Branimir Kvartuc

Branimir Kvartuc spent a career as an award-winning photojournalist working for the Orange County Register, Daily Breeze, Associated Press and many other corporate clients before joining Councilman Buscaino’s staff in 2011. Many recognize his famous photograph of the O.J. Simpson chase in 1994 which launched his career. Between photojournalism and public service, Kvartuc was instrumental in launching several popular websites, in the process becoming an expert in using content to build audience. His expertise in content creation made him an early adopter in the use of social media to reach and build audience. His model has been adopted by many elected representatives. Today he uses these modern skill sets to help Councilman Buscaino communicate with the residents of Los Angeles, influence policy, and generate support for projects that affect the 15th Council District and beyond. Kvartuc, who grew up in San Pedro, attended Syracuse University and is a frequent world traveler, die-hard stand up paddle boarder, occasional poker player, and proud DTLA-er.
