Property owner' shouldn't be the only one on the hook

I agree with Miss Bagby. Property owners should not be on the hook for repairing our streets and sidewalks. I personally Am not interested in paying more taxes on my already steap bill. Although I understand I may have to pay a little more to fix the streets I should not be held responsible for the entire burden. Large trucks and other commercial vehicles also create damage to our streets. There are also plenty of drivers using our roads who do not own property. Do they just receive the roads for free? I believe funding for street and sidewalk repairs should be attached to the vehicles themselves. A use tax.

I hear your position. I think there needs to be a realistic discussion from home owners and community leaders on how to raise revenues for Fixing our Streets. I have 3 Recommendations:
    1. Big Business in our area can pitch in, All business with Annual revenues over $1MM should be required to pitch in
    2. Homeowners must be willing to help with their Time or Money to keep our streets clean
    3. Prosecute those damaging private and public property and dumping illegally
